Online Casino UK - The Lowdown

OK before I start, and at the risk of patronising some of you for the sake of those new to this game, I need to say something: you are probably going to lose if you play at online casinos. Don't believe all the stuff you read about it being a path to riches - that's only for a chosen few and requires a LOT of luck!

But if you go in with the attitude that you are here for entertainment purposes, budget sensibly and excercise a little self control, playing online can be an enjoyable experience.

Since my first ever foray into playing the casino games at the excellent Ladbrokes Casino, right up to the present day, I must have played getting on for 100 online casinos although not every experience has been satisfying! So with this in mind, the online casino reviews section is where you'll find the nitty gritty on some of the better known British brand names such as the aforementioned Laddies casino, the very popular (and for good reason!) Bet365 casino and several more besides.

Unsurprisingly, Online Casino UK is a website I designed to convey my own experiences of playing at a lot of - too many probably! - UK online casinos. In the process of conducting the casino reviews here at Online Casino UK, I have put together a casino directory as a guide to some of my favourite online casinos that I have played over the past 5 years.

It (hopefully!) goes without saying that the phrase "best casino" is clearly subjective but you'll probably find that my criteria aren't that different from most online casino players: I look for good fair casino games, good customer support and above all, fast cashouts when I win! Being UK based has it's advantages as most UK-based online casinos have direct access into the BACS system and the best online casino brands normally pay your winnings back to you within 2/3 days.

Many of the top casinos about whom I spout forth my opinions here will be familiar to UK residents already but there are also some very good lesser known operators who play to the UK market - some very successfully, others less so. In the casino reviews section on this website, you'll also find some less familiar names that, in my opinion, are worthy of your consideration for various reasons. Big brands don't always offer the best service!

Ladbrokes and Bet365 aside, the one online casino that really stands out above all others in my opinion is 32Red (Microgaming software) which consistently wins awards and is the casino that I frequent most regularly. I hope you'll find a good degree of balanced opinions in the casino reviews I have posted here at Online Casino UK but I should add that you'll never find the perfect online casino - it simply doesn't exist - and some are far from perfect, trust me! As I have tended to play the better casinos down the years, it's only natural that the opinions I have expressed in the casino reviews tend to be favourable in the main, but as you'll see from each review, there are plenty of areas in which most online casinos could improve.
