VC Casino Review
I first played at VC Casino way back
around 2006 when it was running on the Chartwell software platform and branded as Victor Chandler casino.
Thankfully, Victor Chandler have seen the light and moved away from Chartwell software, sticking with the
browser-based format but launching the Spin Room product with the IGT, Novomatic and Net Entertainment casino games
at the centre of the action. Like other "Bookie" casinos such as Bet365 casino and Paddy Power Casino, the games choice focuses
on games UK players will probably know already although Victor Chandler's Spin Room slots product has a
fairly unique offering.
There are a handful of casinos in the online casino reviews section here at Online Casino UK which are similar to Victor Chandler's Spin Room, but VC is arguably better for table games and video poker players than many. The slot machine choice is superb though and arguably the best of all thoe here at Online Casino UK.
My main complaint at VC is the inabilty to set a deposit limit (see next section) and the page layouts. The games are presented in a rather clunky Interface that, while it looks good and works "OK", is slow on less capable devices like Netbooks and hand-helds.
Being browser-based, VC casino players can also access the Victor Chandler Live Casino, Poker Room and sportsbook through the same interface. Funds can also be easily transferred between all these products and there is definitely a better, smoother flow to this.
Cashouts at VC Casino are pretty easy too and quick. These are processed within 24 hours back to the method you deposited with. The backend banking sytem was very easy to use - depositing and cashing out is a breeze.
The biggest surprise for me was the lack of option to set deposit limits which you will find at most of the online casinos featured on this site. I emailed VC asking them how I could set a deposit limit and amazingly was told that it was not an option in the casino! Frankly that is very surprising not least because the casino is licenced in a UK Whitelist jurisdiction (Gibraltar) and I thought this was a pre-requisite for whitelisting.
The fact Victor Chandler also offer integrated Poker, Sportsbook and Live casino games should mean VC Casino appeals to a wide variety of players although Ladbrokes casino offers all of these options and is far better for slots players in particular.
Footnote: In 2011, Victor Chandler rebranded as BetVictor.
VC Casino Games
As at the time of writing this casino review, VC Casino had around 15 table games including Blackjack, Roulette, Red Dog and an additional "Poker Games" section with another 15 or so games including Let Em Ride, Trey Poker, Caribbean Stud and a single-player Texas Hold 'Em Poker game. When it comes to slots then Victor's sub-branded Spin Room (available on the VC website under the "Slots" tab is excellent and has a huge range of games from IGT, Novomatic, Net Entertainment and Microgaming among others plus, being Flash-based, they are suitable for both PC or MAC.There are a handful of casinos in the online casino reviews section here at Online Casino UK which are similar to Victor Chandler's Spin Room, but VC is arguably better for table games and video poker players than many. Support & Service
One thing I was impressed with was the response of support. I sent in an email on deposit limits (an issue - see later in this review) and received an answer inside an hour. When I came to test closing the casino account after this review, it was all done again within thehour and with no fuss at all.Cashouts at VC Casino are pretty easy too and quick. Conclusion
It's nice to see VC Casino has decided to take their online casino more seriously and clearly they have chosen a good product that offers them a unique selling point. There is a good choice of games with some unique slots and being Flash based is easy to use. Support is fast and efficient and the banking system clear and concise. The inability to set deposit limits is very strange and a little worrying but otherwise VC Casino is a good option for players here at Online Casino UK and definietly a contender. The fact Victor Chandler also offer integrated Poker, Sportsbook and Live casino games should mean VC Casino appeals to a wide variety of players although Ladbrokes casino offers all of these options and is far better for slots players in particular.
